Buying a building is a big purchase, and you trust us with your name, your address and your payment. Here is exactly how we protect them.
Card payments
- Card payments on this website are processed by GoDaddy Payments, a payment service that complies with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), the security standard of Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
- You type your card into GoDaddy's secure payment form. Your full card number and security code go from your browser straight to GoDaddy: they never reach our servers, and we never store them.
- We only receive the result of the payment: the amount, the approval, the card brand and the last four digits, so we can match the payment to your project.
- We will never ask you to send your card number by email or text message.
Encrypted connection
Every page and form on this website is served over HTTPS with a valid SSL/TLS certificate. Connections use TLS 1.2 or 1.3; older protocols with known weaknesses are turned off, and visitors who type http:// are sent to the secure address. Browsers are also told to use only HTTPS on future visits (HSTS), and our pages cannot be shown inside another website's frame.
Your information stays confidential
- We use your information only to answer you, prepare your estimate, build and support your building, and keep the records the law requires.
- We do not sell, rent or trade customer information, and we do not share it for advertising.
- We share only what a service provider needs to do its job for us, such as GoDaddy Payments to process a payment. See our Privacy Policy.
Who can see your records
- Customer records are available only to our team, and each person signs in with their own account.
- Access is limited by role: each team member sees and changes only what their job requires.
- Passwords are stored hashed, never in readable form, and repeated failed sign-in attempts are blocked.
- The credentials of our payment account are stored encrypted.
Protect yourself from payment scams
Scammers sometimes send fake invoices that look like they come from a contractor. Our emails come from an @americansteelsystems.com address. If a payment request looks unusual, or asks you to send money to a different bank account or with gift cards, do not pay it: call us first at (866) 456-1158.
Everything in writing before you pay
Before any payment you can read our Terms and Conditions, Cancellation & Refund Policy, Limited Warranty and Privacy Policy. At online checkout you accept them expressly, and you get a written receipt of your payment.
If something goes wrong
If you believe your information has been exposed, or you find a security problem on our website, tell us right away at david@americansteelsystems.com or at (866) 456-1158. If a security breach ever affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by the North Carolina Identity Theft Protection Act and the laws of your state.
