These terms apply when you use americansteelsystems.com and when you buy a building from American Steel Systems LLC ("American Steel Systems", "we", "us"), online or with a quote. By using the website, accepting a quote or paying, you agree to these terms.
1. Using this website
- Prices on the website and in the 3D builder are starting prices for the base structure, for planning. The price of your building is the one on your written quote or your online order.
- Images and 3D models are illustrations. Screen colors are approximate: ask for a physical color chart before ordering.
- If we find a price or description error, we correct it. If you already paid, we offer you the correct price or cancellation with a full refund, your choice.
2. Quotes and orders
- A quote is valid for the period it states. When you accept it with your name and confirmation, it becomes a contract together with these terms.
- With an online order you buy the building exactly as you designed it, and you accept the order terms shown before you pay.
- If your accepted quote or your order terms say something different from these general terms, your quote or order controls.
3. Prices, taxes and payment
- Prices are in U.S. dollars (USD). Site preparation, concrete, permits, engineering drawings and local fees are not included unless they are listed on your quote or order.
- Where the law requires us to collect sales tax, it is shown on your order before you pay.
- Card payments are processed by GoDaddy Payments. By paying, you confirm you are authorized to use the card. We never store your card number.
- Deposits and balances are due as your quote or order states.
4. Your site, permits and codes
- Your site must be level and reachable by our crew and trailer on installation day.
- You are responsible for permits, homeowners association (HOA) approval, property lines and setbacks, and marking underground utility lines (call 811), unless we agree otherwise in writing. We give you the building details and, where required, certified drawings.
- If your county requires upgrades that change the price, you approve the difference first or cancel for a full refund.
5. Delivery, installation and delays
- Before you pay we tell you the estimated lead time. We confirm the exact installation date by phone; it depends on permits, site readiness and weather.
- If we cannot meet the time we gave you, we tell you, give you a new estimated date, and you choose to wait or cancel for a full refund of what you paid.
6. Cancellations and refunds
See our Cancellation & Refund Policy. In short: you can cancel for a full refund until your building goes into production.
7. Warranty
Your building is covered by our written Limited Warranty. Implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the duration of the written warranty, to the extent the law allows. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so this limitation may not apply to you.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for an order is no more than what you paid for that order. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
9. Payment disputes
If there is a problem with a charge, please call us first at (866) 456-1158: we can usually fix it quickly. This does not limit any rights you have with your card issuer.
10. Electronic records and signatures
You agree to receive quotes, order confirmations, receipts and other records electronically, and that typing your name and accepting or paying online is your electronic signature. You need a device with a current web browser and an email account. You can ask for a paper copy at no charge, or withdraw your consent at any time, by calling us; that does not affect what was already signed.
11. Communications
By giving us your phone number and email, you agree that we may call, text or email you about your request and your project, as our Privacy Policy explains. Reply STOP to stop texts.
12. Website content
The photos, text, logos, 3D builder and other content belong to American Steel Systems or its licensors. You may use them to plan your own building. Do not copy, sell or scrape them without our written permission.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina. Any dispute is resolved in the state or federal courts located in Forsyth County, North Carolina, unless the law of your state gives you the right to bring it where you live. Before any claim, please call us: we want to make it right.
14. Other terms
If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest stays in effect. We may update these terms by posting a new version here; orders already placed keep the terms you accepted.
