Every building is made to order for you. This policy explains when you can cancel, how much you get back and how fast.
Cancel for a full refund
You get 100% of what you paid back, deposit included, if:
- You cancel before your building goes into production. We tell you before production starts.
- Our review of your site or your county's requirements calls for upgrades that change the price, and you do not approve them.
- We cannot meet the lead time we gave you and you prefer not to wait.
- We find a price error in your order and you prefer to cancel.
- We cannot build your building (for example, the site is not suitable or it is outside our area).
After production starts
Once your building goes into production it is made to your measurements and cannot be resold, so a full refund is no longer available. If you need to cancel, call us: we refund what we can recover (for example, amounts for work and materials not yet made or ordered) and explain any amount kept in writing.
How to cancel
Call us at (866) 456-1158 or email david@americansteelsystems.com with your order or quote number. We confirm the cancellation in writing.
How and when you get your refund
- We refund to the payment method you used. If you paid by card, the refund goes back to that card.
- We issue approved refunds within 7 business days. Your bank may take another 5 to 10 business days to show it.
- There is no fee to cancel before production.
3-day right to cancel
If you signed your contract at your home or another place that is not our place of business, federal and North Carolina law may give you the right to cancel at no cost within 3 business days. That right is in addition to this policy.
Warranty and billing questions
Problems with an installed building are handled under our Limited Warranty. If you do not recognize a charge or a payment is wrong, please call us first: we can usually fix it the same day. This does not limit any rights you have with your card issuer.
